Moseltal, Worms, Heidelberg

Thursday we left Zons to drive south to the wedding! On our way we passed through some very scenic areas. We stopped at the Mosel Valley bridge, where there is a terrific view of the Mosel river.

Then we stopped briefly at Worms to see the cathedral there. It was pretty spectacular, though not as big as the Cologne cathedral.

Then we stopped at the Schloss Heidelberg, which the kids and I saw last time we were here in Germany, but Daryl was not with us (he had gone home early). Also it was 4 years ago and Ben can not remeber a lot of what we saw and my mom was with us, so went again. It has to be one of the most spectacular castles ever.

We arrived at our vacation cottage in Oberbergen around 7 pm and it is great! I´ll write more about that later. This area is very beautiful! Vinyards everywhere!
